>TOW Badgevent Anniversary<
>Overview<
TOW is celebrating its two-year anniversary! As thanks to all the members who have helped grow the group, this special Advent Calendar Collect-a-thon will be held throughout the Autumn 2024 season.

By collecting special items known as Badges, members will be able to redeem their collection for exclusive rewards that are only available through this event!
>What are Badges?<
Badges are special items that are rewarded to members who have reached certain group Milestones. A Milestone is a challenge, accomplishment, or requirement that a member/their character has met during their time in the group. Each Milestone corresponds to a Badge that represents that requirement being met.

Each day, a new Badge will be revealed in the TOW discord server's #badgevent channel. The requirement(s) to meet the Milestones and claim the Badges will be explained as they are revealed. Members can then log their obtained Badges on the [Badgevent Calendar Tracker] that we provide! To use it, go to File > Make a Copy.

Once a Badge has been revealed, there is no deadline for claiming it. All Badges can be claimed for as long as the event runs. Badges are also member-specific, not character-specific. Therefore, each Badge can only be claimed once. When the event has concluded, a member that has claimed enough Badges can exchange them for limited-edition prizes.
>Prizes<
The prizes for this event are obtained in a pyramid-like fashion. You must claim the lower tiers before you can claim the higher tiers. The number of Badges required to claim each tier of rewards refers to overall Badges. Your Badges are not considered 'spent' and they do not go away once they have been used to claim a prize.
[TIER ONE]
Glowing Moss Accessory
Total Cost: 4 Badges
This luminescent moss glows a bright greenish-gold color in low light levels. It is typically found in damp shady areas, underground, and in caves. This moss can be worn by a wolf as an accessory to add a bit of sparkle to their appearance!
[TIER TWO]
Random Encounter Increase
Total Cost: 8 Badges
Once this reward is claimed, the number of random encounters a member can call each season will increase from 5 to 8. Fight more creatures and find more items!
[TIER THREE]
Gain Corvid Familiar
Total Cost: 12 Badges
By claiming this reward, a member can unlock the ability to give one of their wolves a corvid familiar. The familiar must be drawn by the user and placed on the provided application sheet (found in the group gallery) and then submitted for review, just as a standard character app is. Some important rules to keep in mind are:

A wolf may only have some kind of corvid as a familiar, as these intelligent birds are observed in the wild to have mutually beneficial relationships with wolves. This means your familiar can be a crow, raven, rook, magpie, jackdaw, jay, chough, or nutcracker.

Wolves do not have the ability to speak to or directly communicate with their familiar. Birds and wolves do not speak the same language. This means your wolf cannot instruct their familiar to perform complicated tasks such as delivering/fetching things, crafting things, etc. Your familiar's main purpose is companionship but corvids will sometimes lead wolves to food and resources, as well.

Your wolf may give a name to their familiar but, once again, the corvid is not likely to understand and respond to this name perfectly.

You will be tasked with filling out a short bio to give us an idea of your familiar's personality but we advise you to stick to basic traits that your wolf would easily observe. The familiar should not be a complex character in its own right.
